Tupac...12 Years Later

It's crazy to believe that it's been 12 years since Pac died. For anyone who knows me, they know that Tupac is my favorite artist of all time (regardless of genre). I'm not going to type an entire research paper why I hold him to high esteem, but I will say that no artist has never related to my life as much as Pac has. No, I'm not a thug. No, I've never been to prison (don't plan on it either). No, I've never shot anyone (don't want to). But I can relate to damn near everything he uttered on a track because even if I didn't live it, someone close to me did. He was the greatest ever at displaying his emotions on a song, bar none. I'm 22, but I remember being 10 years old in Philly hearing about 'Pac's death. It's just just as shocking now as when I heard it for the first time. So in my tribute for Pac, I'm not going post some of his best songs because by now, I'm sure most of you have heard them 100's of times. What I am going to post is one of the rawest interviews ever. It's Pac and Ed Gordon in 1994. He talks about life, death and the pressures not only he faced, but the generation he was trying to represent. If I had some liquor, I'd pour it out for you...

Part 2

Part 3

"Imperfection is inherited, therefore we all sin, but fighting the war of sin is the greatest war of all because we all die in the end no matter how hard we fight."

I keep wondering if he was alive today, how many songs would he have put out by now that I would have loved? I miss Pac, 12 years since you passed and we still mourn you. Rest in peace big homie. One.

Word...it's crazy man. There will NEVER be another person like him in music. He's a dude I grew up on and still admire to this very day and will until I leave this planet.
