Rick Ross: "Yes, it's me..."
Oct. 7--After months of denial, Miami's biggest boss, Rick Ross, has finally admitted that it was him in the infamous pictures that leaked months ago. During their minor, yet brief, beef, Trick Daddy claimed that Ross had once been a cop who worked at a local Miami prison. Ross vehemently denied the claims and pictures and even challenged Trick to even "come see him".
Opinions ran wild about Ross's supposed past while rappers like Fabolous supported him, while others such as Maino were the exact opposite. Even in recent freestyles, Ross claimed that his C.O. (commanding officier) past was not true when he rhymed, "For the record p*ssy, far from a C.O.", over Lil Wayne's "Comfortable" beat. Popular West Coast DJ, DJ Vlad, was even attacked by Ross and several members of his entourage for inquiring about the rumors.
It seems that those who did believe his law enforcement past were, in fact, right. In a recent interview with a magazine, Ross was asked was that him in the pictures.
"Yes, it's me. I never tried to hide my past. I put my name inside my cds. My company has my social security number. I could've put a company name...I done been up and I done been down and that's what makes me what I am. I never ratted on a nigga. I never prosecuted a nigga. I never locked up a nigga, that's first and foremost."
Ross concluded that although he dabbled in law enforcement, all the claims in his music are not fabricated.
"I always felt that me being the nigga that I am, I never owed a nigga an explanation. When I'm making my music and I'm talking about blow, it's because I did it. When I say that I'm rich off cocaine, it's because i did it. Those are the street principals that apply."
